Our beneficiaries in Ararat region of Armenia |
Zartonk-89 NGO had been implementing “Providing education for 90 children in Armenia” project since 2006, the aim of which was to provide basic education for those children in Yerevan who could not get education because of job to earn their living; to help them get basic education and professional skills in order they can find job and improve their social conditions of their families in future. During the project implementation we have had great success. During these years 58 beneficiaries from 100 came back to school, they have got basic education, professions and now they work with their specializations. 42 beneficiaries continuing their work have received basic knowledge with distance learning method. Today they use their gained knowledge to find best job. Recent years our organization has been actively involved in implementation process of educational reform in the Republic of Armenia. First, there were positive results recorded in educational reform, the rate of children’s classes attendance was high. But recent years the global economic crises had its negative impact on the world, as well as social-economic situation of our country, migration and the quantity of people who leave the country to work in abroad is increased and again it is obvious the children’s involvement in hard works.
In the result of the project implementation we found out that these issues are more serious in the regions, there is uneven development between regions and capital, Yerevan. That is the problem that our organization addressed the project for school-age children’s education and vocational training in the regions of Armenia. That period the school children from the regions must spare their time for learning, instead of it they have to do hard works for earning money to help their families.
As our organization has positive results and an experience to work with such children, we wish to continue the project implementation for other beneficiaries involving 10 regions of Armenia in the project too.
In the frame of previous implemented projects Zartonk-89 NGO has created “Online club for young journalists” that has its branches in 10 regions of Armenia, Artsakh and Javakhk. The aim of online clubs is to assist in community young people involvement in their community development process, as well as to reveal some issues of the community and try to solve them. By means of “Online club for young journalists” the teenagers and young people can use information technologies more effectively for increasing their journalist research abilities. Our working groups of 10 regions in Armenia help young people get non formal education and computer skills. Our working groups from 10 regions have recruited working children who are in social bad conditions and don’t get basic education in their regions, we will begin to work with them. The aim of this project is to assist social needy children from the regions to receive basic education and involve them in the works and activities of online club.
